Lecture 7: Twitter for Science Communication

In groups, read "Why Twitter Will Endure"

By the end of the activity we will have a complete summary

  3. It's funny how things like Twitter & Facebook have become so different from what the creator had originally thought they would be. I liked Evan Williams quote about Twitter; "[with] an easier way to share info, more good things happen". I'd like to think that this is true. However for those that disagree, there is no doubt that Twitter offers us instant feedback on any category, event or idea. This is a great way to share information and make improvements when the feedback is critical.

  6. It's interesting to see what the mastermind behind Twitter had to say about his own creation. I wonder if he ever envisioned that people would be hashtagging #yegevents to find fun things to do in Edmonton.
